The Ashland Community Garden is planting our spring garden on Saturday morning, May 7th, 2016. ( 8:00 am – 1:00 pm )
If you are a resident of Clay County and want to plant a garden or learn how to grow your own food, we have a container garden ready for you to plant, everything you need to get started is included.
Plants include: Okra, corn, Crimson and Jubilee watermelons, cantaloupe, red, green, and yellow bell peppers, jalapenos. habanero, cayenne, Atkinson Better Boy & Celebrity Heirloom Tomatoes, zucchini, Straight and Burpless Cucumbers, Straight and Crooked Squash, Asian eggplant, and more.
If you dig “home grown” vegetables, come plant with us!
If you have some seeds or plants and want to swap or if you have some garden tools you want to drop off; come by and see us. The Garden is located behind the brick wall at Showplace Rentals in Ashland, next door to Volunteer Produce on Hwy 77.
We will be there shortly after daybreak until a little after 1:00 pm.
